Cherie, we need your help!
You are making a difference in the fight against cancer for people like Judy, a breast cancer survivor. We encourage you to read and share Judy's story, and ask for your continued support.
Judy's Story
Judy knows the importance of getting a yearly mammogram. After watching her mother – now a 23-year survivor – battle breast cancer, Judy always made getting a yearly mammogram a top priority. Yet nothing could prepare her to hear the words "You have breast cancer" in April 2006.
The American Cancer Society helped Judy face this challenging time. "Just knowing the American Cancer Society was there gave me so much hope," she says. "They were the first ones I turned to, and I called them whenever I needed to."
Judy underwent a double mastectomy and several months of intense chemotherapy treatments. Today, Judy is grateful to be alive, and she fights back against cancer by supporting the American Cancer Society.
When you make another donation to the American Cancer Society, we are able to
help more people like Judy. Through our groundbreaking research program, lifesaving education efforts, crucial advocacy work, and critical patient service programs, we are truly winning the fight against cancer. Today, 66 percent of all cancer patients survive at least five years. But we need your continued support so we can save even more lives.
Cherie, please consider supporting the fight against cancer again by making an online donation today. Every dollar we receive makes a real difference for millions of people across the country – people just like Judy.
Thank you!

Sincerely,
Richard Wender, M.D.
President of the Board, 2007-2008
American Cancer Society
P.S. Remember, you can choose to honor or remember someone special with your gift of hope. When you make a donation in honor of a special cancer survivor, we send a note letting them know of your heartfelt gift. When you make a gift in memory of someone lost to this disease, we will send their loved ones an acknowledgement.
