America Celebrates
Read Across America Day
NEA's Read Across America is not the only one celebrating. The Cat in the Hat turns 50 in 2007, and "Project 236" commemorates the 236 words that became the groundbreaking book, The Cat in the Hat, with a national read-aloud to benefit NEA partner First Book. For more information, go to www.catinthehat.com or http://www.seussville.com/CITH_50th/.
In addition, NSEA is celebrating in Carson City as Assemblyman Bernie Anderson reads a book to his peers and a resolution is read declaring Friday, March 2nd as Read Across America Day in Nevada. The Cat in the Hat is expected to pay a visit to the hardworking lawmakers.

NSEA... Your Voice for Public Education
NSEA proudly represents more than 28,000 teachers and education support professionals throughout Nevada. NSEA members provide organization leaders and staff with information needed to work on your behalf. We are the expert voice that can ensure positive changes are made at all levels--in the classrooms, at work sites, and at the legislature in Carson City.
As your voice, we are committed to conveying the best message in order to secure the funding needed for you to have the tools to succeed in your role of educator. We encourage you to be aware of what is going on during the legislative session, to be active, and communicate with your lobby team. They need to hear what is on your mind and learn more about your needs. They also need to be able to share your stories with the legislators and hear about the hardships you face each and every day.
Thank you for being an educator and we look forward to hearing from you soon!
