The Freedom Alliance provides financial assistance to dependents of soldiers, sailors, airmen, Marines, and Guardsman who have been killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty, or who are classified as Prisoners of War or Missing in Action. Application deadline: July 31, 2006.

Closing the Gender Gap in Student Achievement
Just one year with a male English teacher would improve boys' reading skills and significantly close the gender gap according to recent research. Similarly for girls, spending a year with a female teacher would cut the science gender gap in half and eliminate the math gap. Tell us what you think.
