Check out the quarter mile of track featuring seven loops and tunnels with fifteen different rail lines and two cable cars, nine bridges (including a trestle bridge you can walk under), and bustling G-scale model trains. The buildings are all meticulously decorated for the holidays, and lights twinkle along the tracks and around the surrounding landscape.

Vox Ama Deus and Valentin Radu (Artistic Director and Conductor) present Vox Renaissance in its annual Christmas concert of motets and carols celebrates the Renaissance musical traditions of England, France, Italy, Germany and Romania, with gems for single and double chorus, solo voices and instruments. Irreverent and dynamic, graceful and playful, this one-person show engages the deep questions and locker-room jokes about what it means to become a man. Moving beyond the predictable transgender narrative, Schofield’s stories explore the drama and hilarity of living a new life in the “opposite” gender. The aerial dance component pushes the limits of solo performance. Schofield dances, climbs, hides and seeks in a choreography of brute strength and beautiful flexibility. The show’s “choose your own adventure” format invites viewers to decide which stories they will hear. Since its Seattle debut, Becoming has sold out every engagement from Miami to Anchorage. Guided tour through the handcrafted home and studio of Wharton Esherick, the "dean of American craftsmen." This National Historic Landmark for Architecture reflects Esherick's artistic evolution from the Arts and Crafts, through Cubism and German Expressionism, to the Modernist free forms that characterized his later works. The Studio is filed with more than 200 of Esherick's paintings, prints, sculture, furniture and furnishings.

A cultural icon, Jimmy Webb songs are indelibly etched into the American musical landscape. In a magical evening of stories and songs, the man and his piano treat his audience to “the soundtrack of an era,” including classics "By The Time I Get To Phoenix," "MacArthur Park," "Wichita Lineman," "Galveston" and "Up, Up and Away" as made famous by Glen Campbell, Richard Harris, The 5th Dimension and others.

Adaptors Bill Irwin (The Happiness Lecture) and Mark O'Donnell soak Molière's sharp-edged comedy in Vaudevillian clownery! This offbeat re-imagining of the classic puts Molière's famous servant Scapin at the center of an inventive interaction between actors and puppets. Scapin is directed by Aaron Cromie, known as a performer, director, and puppeteer from projects such as The Foocy, The Comedy of Errors, Travels with My Aunt, and The Fantasticks. Enjoy serious silliness in a production stuffed with chase scenes, revenge plots, slapstick and spoofery, live music, and lots of theater magic for the entire family.

This black comedy follows eight disgruntled deer as they unpack Santa’s furtrimmed baggage: presents, intoxication and leather straps. If the holidays drive you to drink, welcome home. Help kick off an ongoing cabaret series at the Gershman Y with Klea Blackhurst's Everything the Traffic Will Allow: The Songs and Sass of Ethel Merman. Celebrating the contributions of Jewish American songwriters such as Stephen Sondheim, Jerry Herman, and Irving Berlin, as well as the career of Merman herself, Blackhurst's show, which has played to sell-out crowds around the country, is not to be missed.

Eastern State Penitentiary is beautiful in the stark, cold months of winter. But as striking as the unheated building is, it's also very cold. Eastern State's Winter Adventure Tours are limited to 25 people, and pair each small group with an expert Eastern State tour guide. The tour route may change to accommodate the weather, but will generally include the cellblocks, center surveillance hub, Al Capone's Cell, and the newly restored Alfred W. Fleisher Memorial Synagogue. There are even photographs of the inmates' holiday celebrations on view.

To kick off the Winter Adventure Tour season, Fear No Ice, the world's first and only performance ice sculpting company, located right here in Philadelphia, will create a piece entitled "Frozen in Time." The 1200 pound ice sculpture will incorporate iconic images of former inmates suspended in blocks of ice and arranged to form a towering sculpture on the penitentiary grounds. The ice sculpture performance is free with the cost of admission for a Winter Adventure Tour.

The eminent Leon Fleisher leads this premier new music ensemble in a concert of 20th century masterworks. Works by Stravinsky, Hindemith and Ligeti highlight a program of modern music that is not to be missed.

With a witty book and score, and a great many “fowl” puns, HONK! won an Olivier Award for Best Musical when it opened in England (equivalent to an American Tony Award), beating THE LION KING. The musical retelling of the Hans Christian Andersen story The Ugly Duckling, HONK! features a squadron of comical geese, a sly tomcat who wants to befriend ducklings only so he can eat them, a tearful mother, a dad always `ducking` out of his responsibilities, a duo comprised of a cat and a hen right out of a Shakespearean comedy, a wisecracking bullfrog, and an ugly duckling who discovers his inner beauty by becoming a swan. Ugly’s odd, gawky looks make him an instant outcast with his family and the neighborhood. Separated from the farm and pursued by a hungry cat, Ugly must find his way home. Along his rollicking and harrowing journey he not only discovers his true beauty and glorious destiny, but also finds love and acceptance in all its forms.

Guest conductor Blair Bollinger leads the Delaware County Symphony in a program of selections by Beethoven, Bach, and Brahms. Soloist Arnold Ostroff performs Beethoven's "Emperor" Piano Concerto No. 5. Also included are the Toccata and Fugue in D Minor by J. S. Bach, arranged by Stokowski and Johannes Brahms' Hungarian Dances Nos. 1, 6, and 5.
